Since 1774, Pineider has been forging a deep connection between writers and the art of communication, turning writing into a timeless luxury experience. To celebrate its 251st anniversary, Pineider has renewed its partnership with Molly Bloom, the creative writing academy founded in Rome by Leonardo Colombati and Emanuele Trevi.
Together, Pineider and Molly Bloom—a brand synonymous with Italian excellence in luxury writing instruments, leather goods, and stationery—are launching the Milan edition of the workshop “How to Write a Novel”, a comprehensive course designed for aspiring writers who want to turn their passion into a concrete project.
The course offers twelve interactive lessons with some of Italy’s most celebrated authors. Participants will explore narrative techniques, character creation, plotting, style, and the craft of writing an engaging novel. Each session focuses on a different aspect of creative writing, offering an invaluable opportunity to learn directly from accomplished authors who will share their insights, tips, and experiences.
The classes will take place at the Pineider boutique on Via Manzoni 12 in Milan. The program combines theory with a hands-on approach, including workshops led by professional editors.
Participants will work in small groups, supported by a dedicated tutor who will guide them through the process of revising and refining their manuscripts step by step. The tutor will provide personalized feedback and practical advice to help develop the structure, narrative flow, and style of their work. Individual one-on-one sessions with the tutor will also be scheduled to meet participants’ specific needs.
At the end of the course, each participant will create a synopsis of their novel, along with a selected chapter, which will be submitted to the fiction editors of leading Italian publishing houses.
On the final day, participants will have the unique opportunity to present their work directly to editorial representatives from top Italian publishers, including 66th and 2nd, Alter Ego, Bompiani, Castelvecchi, Elliot, Einaudi, Feltrinelli, Giunti, HarperCollins, Italo Svevo, La Nave di Teseo, Laurana, Marsilio, Minimum Fax, Mondadori, Neri Pozza, NNE, Nottetempo, Giulio Perrone, Rizzoli, Sellerio, and SEM.
This program is ideal for those who want to write a complete novel, hone their narrative voice, and gain the skills needed to navigate the publishing world with confidence and professionalism.
